Later,introduce Valentine’s Day at home and abroad.The western Valentine’s Day is on February 14th,on which people send roses and chocolates to the people they love.The Chinese Valentine’s Day or the Double Seventh Day is on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.Upon the introduction and interaction,lead into the topic.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Catch the paragrapph
Read the paragraph for students to enable students to catch why Li Fang is heart-broken.Meantime,try to guess the meaning of the underlined words and phrases according to the context.Later,check their answers:it is because Hu Jin,the girl Li Fang loves,didn’t turn up on Valentine’s Day.
2.Learn the words and phrases
