Most of our working hours are spent in the workplace. So what do during those hours can have a significant impact on our overall health. A positive wellness culture during the workday can contribute to better health—physical, mental, and emotional well-being (良好的状态) for you and your co-workers. Healthy people are more productive, more constructive and require fewer sick days and health associated costs. Both employers and employees can promote a healthier work environment.
Don’t let your work environment affect your health for eight hours of the day. Break up your work day. Get up, stretch, and move. Regular movement throughout the day will keep your mind and body flexible and help avoid fatigue (疲劳).
Think of ways you can add movement or at least decrease the amount of time you are sitting. Try getting out of your chair more, standing during your calls, or alternating your chair with a yoga(瑜伽) ball. And if you have to drive to work, try parking at the far end of the lot, taking the stairs, and going the long way to the bathroom and break room.
Healthy employees work better. As an employer you can initiate and encourage healthy changes, at your workplace to create the best environment to promote mental and physical health for your employees. [br] In the author’ s opinion, healthy people are likely to________.
