    人生中，毕业是一个重要的里程碑。关于毕业之后的事，得益于人生经验，或许我比各位知道的略多一些。这里我想说的是：第一，要保持干劲。“毕业典礼”这个词在英语里是“开始”的意思，因此，毕业并不是结束。毕业意味着你们有所准备，但它不会自然而然地将你们引向成功。是否能抓住机遇，获得成功，要看你们未来的作为，而不是过去的成绩。
  第二，要保持自信。人生不会一帆风顺，它总是跌宕起伏，充满挑战。从挫折中学到知识将使你们更加明智和坚强。第三，要保持全球意识。在当今全球化进程中，单靠一国之力无法解决世界上的重大问题。各国相互依赖，利益交织，形成了一个利益共同体。
    应对全球问题靠的是全球合作，而合作则呼唤全球意识。我们两国有着不同的历史背景、社会制度、文化传统和经济发展水平，如果我们能够认同并宽容这种差异，相互理解就并非难事，就容易形成全球共识。

Today is an unusual day, one of joy, celebration and great expectations. As the saying goes, no pain, no gain. After several years of hard study, you have finally acquired what you deserve.
Graduation from college is an important milestone in one’s life. With more life experience, I probably know a bit more than you about what comes after graduation. Here, this is what I want to tell you: first, stay motivated. The English word "commencement" means "beginning". So, graduation does not mean the end. It gets you prepared, but it does not necessarily lead you to success. Whether you can seize the opportunities to become successful depends on your future efforts regardless of your past achievements.
Second, keep confident. Life is not a plain-sailing experience, but one full of ups and downs, and challenges. Learning from setbacks will make you wiser and stronger. Third, develop a global perspective. In a globalized world, tackling major issues is beyond the ability of any individual country. Interdepence and intertwined interests help all countries form a community of shared interests.
Resolving global issues calls for global cooperation, while global cooperation requires a global perspective. Our two countries differ in historical background, social system, cultural tradition and the level of economic development. If we acknowledge and accommodate differences, it will be easy for us to understand each other. And this will help reach a global consensus.
