From my past experience, I find it’s not rocket science but the importance of proper research that definitely should be taken seriously. I imagine getting knee-deep into something then finding out that I was on the wrong track because I didn’t take the time to do my research and understand my customers from the beginning.

Well, it is not hard for me to find business opportunities. I have just devoted all my deposit to an existing business, a franchise. And my friend chose to open his own sole proprietorship. For me, the only thing I need to think about is " what are the business opportunity laws in my country?" It is easily researched. However, I am not sure if my business idea is successful.

Hmm, we are in free market economies, a niche market may be small at first, but may grow depending on the success of the company filling the niche. I regard that a niche market may also be something as simple as re-creating an existing product or finding a new feature for an already popular consumer good. During the competition, I get to know the advantages.

Personally, I listen to everything and anything people around me discuss: topics at the dinner table, conversations at work, even people talking in line at the grocery store. I feel surprised how many ideas I can conjure up in just one day, and I jot down the ideas I have heard and take action. An entrepreneur needs continuous brainstorming new ideas. I always try to remember: listen, analyze, and take action!

Well, I find business opportunities by using tools that allow myself to tap into the problems that customer wants me to solve. Starting with the problem and not the solution is critical. I don’t think that the only " good" ideas are big groundbreaking ones. Even small ideas that seem ineffective can develop into a thriving business. The key to make an idea effective is listening.
