A: I work for Dah Jintao World Co. , one of mainland China’s largest lighting rod manufacturing companies. We design, make, sell and install industrial and commercial lighting protection systems for the Asia-Pacific region.
B: Do you have any expansion plans?
A: Well, yes, as you know, China has recently become a full member of the World Trade Organization and so we plan to take full advantage of this on the second quarter of 2003 by opening regional European operations in Berlin. We hope to increase our production by about seven per cent to meet expected initial increased demand in the European market for the 2003-2004 financial year.
B: Who are your main competitors?
A: We recently acquired one of our main competitors , China Golden Light. We plan to take advantage of their European client list. This will make us the largest Chinese company in this sector. We don’t foresee any major plans for...
