What a terrible and shocking scene it is! As is vividly depicted in the drawing above, a young man is sitting at ease on a bus, totally ignoring that there is a pregnant woman, an old man and a child just standing not far from him. In fact, what is conveyed in the picture does exist in reality and thus is really thought-provoking.
This cartoon, I believe, intends to draw our attentions to the necessity of improving the social morality consciousness. Nowadays, although more and more people have received better and higher education, and the whole moral standard of society has been largely enhanced, there are still some people lacking the awareness of offering seats for those in need. Thus, there is, I believe, still an urgent need to have everyone in our society know the importance of offering seats for those who really need them. Individually, it’s a behavior of good manners and we are polite enough if we do so. Socially, it’s a representative of social morality. However, if we can’t achieve this, we are probably a deficient person. And as a result, we can’t be trusted in social activities.
So, let’s build a good social order starting from offering a seat, just from you and me.
