答案     One day, as An Wang walked past a large tree, a little sparrow suddenly fell from the tree to the ground. Wang decided to bring it home and take care of it. He was about to enter the house when he remembered his mother would not allow him to keep any pets. Gently he placed the little bird behind the door and hurried in to ask for approval from his mother, who finally gave her consent upon his pleadings.
    Overjoyed, Wang ran back to the door, only to find that the sparrow had disappeared and a black cat was rubbing its mouth with its paws. This incident made him sad for a long time. From it he learned an important lesson: never hesitate over what one believes to be the right thing to do; indecision may reduce the possibility of making mistakes, but it may also deprive one of the opportunity to succeed.
