     Cooperation and competition are both important. They are equally necessary for one to achieve success. There is an inseparable relationship between the two. We cooperate to be more competitive, and we compete to make a better environment for cooperation.
     Since the Industrial Revolution in the early 1800s, people have been forced to live more cooperatively. Cooperation is becoming more and more important for one to make a good living. Products are no longer produced by any one alone, but through cooperative work by several. Rapidly developed transportation and communications systems enable people all over the world to contact each other with unimaginable ease. Nevertheless, competition is also very important. Anyone lost in a vast desert for a long time will fight for a small bottle of water. The real life is equally cruel. More people of today get good education. There are even more people who have higher degrees in their special fields~ Competition becomes fiercer than what it used to be. Feared of being left behind the time, people compete for success and survival.
     In short, cooperation and competition are both necessary for a better future. Anyone who wants to be successful and useful in our future society needs to be both cooperative and competitive.
