    Many people believe that technological advancement has brought more benefits to the society. For example, they say, that the convenient city life is to a large degree the result of technological development. Electricity, TV, telephone, the modem buildings, etc. all contribute to the improvement of people’s life. They would also say that as a result of biotech development, many health-related problems have been solved.
    However, others might be against technological upgrading. They believe that problems resulted from technological development far outweigh the intended benefits. They say that the industrialization brings more environmental problems than economic benefits and is endangering the livelihood of human beings. They also point out that with the modernization process, people do not have more time to enjoy life. Rather, they have to shoulder more responsibility and pressure looking after different kinds of machines.
    It is true that technological advancement brings both benefits and drawbacks. However, as far as I am concerned, technological development brings more benefits to the world. Modem technologies have improved our life not only by freeing people from boring work but also by enabling them to be connected together more closer than ever. In addition, with new technologies, some problems, such as environmental problems, can be relieved or solved.
