Degree courses offered in some institutions of higher learning are so outdated, irrelevant and impractical that the students themselves find it hard to transform their book knowledge into real job skills. The problem they encounter in job hunting deserves more attention. Colleges should get students out of the ivory tower and adapt their courses to meet the needs of on-going development of economy.
