    The chart shows that the hours spent on the Internet per week by a student in a certain university is increasing  dramatically. In 1995, the time spent on the Internet was less than two hours per week, which was doubled 5 years later. In 2005, the time sharply goes up to twenty hours per week, five times that of 1995. Students are spending much time on the Internet.
    The change takes place for many reasons. Firstly, the Internet is becoming more and more important in our life today. For students, the Internet can be a great help to their studies; they can learn more things by going online  than simply by reading. In addition, many students like chatting through QQ or playing games online. The change has much to do with the low price of going online. Thirdly, the Internet has brought new opportunities to students. Many of them use the Internet for job-hunting, reading, even publishing.
    But students cannot find many computers in university computer centers and the local network is too slow. If students are given much more opportunities to use the Internet, they will be better prepared for the society of tomorrow.
