   Since the implementation of the universal two-child policy in 2015 , people’ s opinions on its impacts vary. Some people who oppose it argue that to have two children may lead to many problems as ever-rising support and education costs. Overpopulation may also increase the burden on national financial budget.
   On the contrary, more people think the universal two-child policy came at a right time, for it helps relieve the pressure of aging population caused by the declining population growth trend. It is also helpful for labor force growth and the sustainable development of the national social economy. What’ s more, for a single child, to have a sibling can help them learn to share and cooperate, which is essential for their future performance in society.
   All in all, despite the various problems, the universal two-child policy is beneficial for the country as well as for each family in the long run. What needs to be done is to add more favorable socioeconomic policies to give eligible couples easier access to raising and educating children.
