答案     Nowadays, according to some young people, what really count are the present and the future. History, the study of the past, is often forgotten. However, in recent years, more and more people are becoming aware of the importance of history.
    There are a couple of reasons that lead to this phenomenon. To begin with, history helps us understand how the society that we live in came into existence. What’s more, by looking back on history, we can have a better grasp of the future. Besides, as Francis Bacon put it, "Histories make men wise." History, in this sense, plays a crucial role in forming our outlooks on life and the world, helping us distinguish the right from the wrong.
    In my opinion, history, serving as the best guide in our life, enlightens us when we feel confused. Therefore, its study should be advocated to foster our capacity for critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
