    A cooperation agreement has been reached between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Silk Road Fund, established to implement China’s Belt and Road initiative.  //
    A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today in Beijing, China, was a further step forward in the Bank’s cooperation with China which became the EBRD’s 67th shareholder on 15 January this year.  //
    In the MoU, the Silk Road Fund and the EBRD agree to boost cooperation at an institutional level and to inform each other of any potential co-investment opportunities in their common regions of operations. // The First Vice President of EBRD said at the signing: " Our regions have a funding gap of about US $ 400 billion a year for necessary infrastructure investments. A joint effort by all stakeholders is needed to bridge that gap and we see working with partners like the Silk Road Fund as the most efficient way forward. " //
    The Silk Road Fund is a development and investment fund dedicated to supporting infrastructure, resources and energy development, industrial capacity cooperation and financial cooperation in countries and regions involved in China’s Belt and Road Initiative.   //
    The Belt and Road Initiative runs through Asia, Europe and Africa. It is aimed at promoting the orderly and free flow of economic factors: the highly efficient allocation of resources and deep integration of markets: encouraging the countries along the Belt and Road to achieve economic policy coordination and carry out broader and more in-depth regional cooperation of higher standards: and jointly creating an open, inclusive and balanced regional economic cooperation architecture that benefits all.  //

    在谅解备忘录中，丝路基金和欧洲复兴开发银行同意开展机构层面的合作，并就合作区域内潜在的共同投资机会互通信息。该行第一副总裁在签约时说，“我们地区一年必要的基础建设投资的融资缺口约有4000亿美元。需要所有股东的共同努力来弥合这个缺口，我们把与丝路基金这样的伙伴合作视为发展前进的最有效方式。”
    丝路基金是一个开放与投资基金，致力于支持“一带一路”沿线国家和地区的基础设施、资源能源开发、产业合作、金融合作。
    “一带一路”倡议贯穿亚欧非，旨在促进经济要素有序自由流动、资源高效配置、市场深度融合，鼓励“一带一路”沿线国家实现经济政策协调，开展更大范围、更深层次、更高标准的区域合作，共同打造开放、包容、均衡、普惠的区域合作架构。
