Mary: Hey, George! Where are you heading?
George: Hey, it’ s you, Mary. I just came back from an exhibition.
Mary: A what?
George: An exhibition. To be exact, a fine art exhibition.
Mary: Really? Is it good?
George: Yeah, pretty good, I should say. You know I don’ t have any artistic ability, but I can appreciate the stuff there. There are portraits, oil paintings and watercolors. It’ s really amazing. Sometimes they can fool your eyes—you have to look really closely to see that’ s not a photo or something real. It’ s a great exhibition.
Mary: What paintings do you like best?
George: I would have to say the oil paintings. They’ re just so colorful and alive.
Mary: Yeah, that’s one thing that I like about oil paintings. But I can’t stand the traditional style. I find it so boring.
George: Yeah, I’ m a little tired of that style, too. I’ m crazy about art, and I wish that I were able to paint as well as these artists. You should go and have a look at this exhibition if you can afford a day. It’ s really great.
Mary: Well, I was just thinking about what to do for the weekend. Now you’ ve given me a good idea. I’ m really looking forward to it!
George: Trust me, it’ s worthwhile and the ticket is not expensive.
Mary: OK. See you. I’ve got to go and get the tickets.
