   Your company is international and very famous for chocolates. The CEO of another famous company wants to cooperate with your company in the breakfast cereal business. You have been asked to give your ideas on whether to start this business or not.

答案 Interviewer: Well, Yang Yan and Yon Ming, the last part of this speaking test is a discussion task. Your discussion topic is on this task card. You have about 30 seconds to read it carefully. After you have read the task,  you will have a discussion on the given topic. Your discussion time is around three minutes. OK? Now read your task card.
  Well, can you start your discussion now? I’m going to listen to you and then ask you to stop at the end of three minutes.
Yang Yan: Well, in my opinion, we should do several things before we decide whether to start the business or not. Most importantly, we should make a study of our cooperative company such as in what kind of business he engages and his sales. Then, we need to know whether the breakfast cereal business is very potential.  I don’t think it’s a very attractive market since many people, for example, Chinese people in many cities, like to eat some nutritional foods in the morning in order to be energetic.
Yan Ming: Well, I think we should do a lot of things ahead as well. Besides those things, we need to know whether our company has the ability to explore this market or not. I think, our company is quite famous for chocolate. We can take advantage of  this and push  some  new, products. However, I don’t agree with you that the breakfast cereal market is not quite attractive because nowadays the demand for convenience foods has increased. Many people want to save time. Hence, breakfast cereal is really a good choice.
Yang Yan: I don’t agree. Many Chinese foods are very easy and quick to make, too.
Yah Ming:  But  many people  in China have gradually accepted the breakfast cereal foods as well. And if we start this business, we shouldn’t only aim at Chinese people for our company is an international company.  Many European people and American always eat  bread  with milk. Therefore,  the  breakfast  cereal  foods  will interest them and meet their needs.
Yang Yan:  Ok, if our customers are not only Chinese  customers,  I  agree  to  begin  this business. After we start business, do you have any good ideas for the business?
Yan Ming: Because there are many kinds of cereal products displayed in the supermarkets now, our products should be new and more attractive so as to be competitive. In my opinion, first of alt, we should clearly divide our market into five zones: Europe,  Asia  and Australia,  Latin America, North America, and Africa and the Middle East according to their dietetic habits.
Yang Yan: Right, I agree. At the same time, we should produce those breakfast cereal products on the basis of health and nutritional concerns because more and more people nowadays pay attention to the nutrition of the foods more than other things.
Yan  Ming:  Yea,  some  people  even  attach importance to ingredients rather than taste.
Interviewer: Do you think that breakfast cereal foods are healthy for you?
Yan Ming: I think they are convenient, healthy and tasty. Meanwhile, there are various ways to eat them.  Sometimes,  I put some breakfast cereal crisps in milk or in porridge. Sometimes, I eat them only. The cereal foods include many healthy ingredients. Yang Yan:For me,  I don’t think they’re as healthy as traditional Chinese foods. Although they include many healthy ingredients, there are also additives in them which are not very healthy for people. But I should admit that they’re more convenient.
Interviewer: Do your parents or elder people in your family like to eat cereal foods for breakfast? Yah Ming: My parents like them but not very much. They eat them sometimes.  I’ve been abroad for a long time. I find that no matter whether children or elder people abroad like breakfast cereal foods very much.
Yang Yan: My parents like them and they eat them sometimes. They think that the breakfast cereal foods are very nutritious.
