Besides, people would have their hair cut, purchase new clothes and all sorts of sweet snacks. They also visit friends and relatives. Children would receive lucky money in red envelopes, as a good wish to their healthy growth. In some rural areas, people burn incense and set off fireworks to pay respects to their ancestors and drive evil spirits away.
　　From my perspective, Spring Festival is very important because it’s a time for family reunion. People living far away from home would go back regardless of the distance. That’s why we can see every year the news headlines in Spring Festival are all about traffic jams. Family is where you can relax and lay down all your guard. Knowing that you’re surrounded by your family, you feel safe. And the long holiday of the Spring Festival enables us to stay with our family for quite some time and enjoy all those festive activities with our family members. It’s their love and support that give us encouragement for a new year ahead.
