Nowadays, more and more people decide to have children later in their life.
What do you think are the reasons for this? Do advantages of this trend outweigh disadvantages?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

答案 A large number of couples nowadays decide to have babies after spending at least a few years since their marriage. Many factors are contributing to this trend and I believe its advantages outweigh its demerits.
There are two main driving forces behind this trend. The changing employment pattern is a primary one. As more women have pursued an education and entered the workforce, they tend to marry later and have children later in their life. This is unavoidable in many cases because women cannot combine family and work well due to costly childcare. Another factor is that social belief regarding giving birth of children has changed dramatically and people are more concerned about the living expenses than the number of babies they have, unlike older generations.
I believe that both parents and children can get much benefit from have children later. On the one hand, young couples, without babies being a burden, can enthusiastically commit themselves to work and a successful career can be easier to reach. On the other hand, older parents generally have less stressed about income or job security so that they tend to be more patient and can spend more time with their children. It is no doubt that parents’ company is an essential element for children’s healthy growth.
However, having offspring in late life also has disadvantages. It can be more difficult for older women to get pregnant and they may experience more health problems, such as miscarriage, high blood pressure or diabetes, during pregnancy. Nevertheless, with improvement of medical service and proper body maintenance, these health problems can be addressed.
In conclusion, due to some inevitable reasons, the choice of having a baby late is popularly preferred nowadays, and in my opinion, its benefits do outweigh its drawbacks.
