"This proverb lays great importance on the diligence. It is one of the Chinese traditional moralities. Only by working diligently can we achieve our goals. Diligence is the key to success. Ancient China has derived an idiom of diligence to us: hang one’ s hair on the beam and pierce into flesh to avoid sleeping more than is enough. The late Chairman Mao Zedong usually till midnight; while Benjamin Franklin, when still an apprentice, imitated and practiced writing after Addison and Steeler repeatedly and then formed his writing style. So diligence means persisting in one’ s work. It does not necessarily means exerting ourselves all days and all night without rest, food or sleep. The true meaning of diligence .is to use time carefully for the purpose of improvement, or to work persistently without wasting time.
   An English proverb says," Lost time is never found again. ’Time is precious and is one of those many things that cannot be put- chased with money. Therefore, we must make good use of our time and study hard when we are young. Lazy hands make a man poor, while diligent hands bring wealth.
