答案                  Is Plastic Surgery the Right Choice for Job Hunting?
    Among many reasons for people to undergo plastic surgery, the reason for hunting a good job is perhaps top on the list. In my opinion, it’s not a wise choice to make for the following reasons.
    Firstly, plastic surgery itself cannot help much in anything except for people’s appearance. It can never be an overall settlement to any problems. Take job-hunting as an example. Maybe, beauty does feast employers’ eyes, but what they value most is the candidate’s ability, and what they need is a person who can do their job right rather than a beauty incapable of their post. To enhance the chance of being hired, one needs to improve themselves all round—their knowledge, communication skills, teamwork spirit, etc, which has nothing to do with appearance or plastic surgery.
    Secondly, plastic surgery is only a way to evade from the real problem, not the effective solution. Becoming beautiful can only solve one’s problems temporarily, which, by no means is a once-for-all settlement. Worse still, it might lead to people’s less willingness to make real efforts to solve their problems, which is detrimental to people’s long-term development both in work and in life. Moreover, given the risks of such operation, what would one do if the surgery fails?
    Whether or not to take plastic surgery is a very personal matter. However, I strongly go against it for the negative consequences it may bring about. What one needs to do is to improve himself to be well-prepared for the opportunities.
