The Prime Minister of Haiti, Jean-Max Bellerive, is in Canada for an international meeting to plan Haiti’s recovery. American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and foreign ministers from about 12 countries and representatives from non-governmental organizations are also attending the talks in Montreal. The government of Haiti says the number of dead from the earthquake January 12th is at least 150,000. The International Organization for Migration says Haiti will need 100,000 tents for 500,000 people who have lost their homes. The most urgent need is for water, for health care, food and shelter.
