A starting point for all astronomy students should be the great star "Venus". Of course we know it is not a star at all but the second planet from the Sun and the sixth largest. Venus is usually visible with the naked eye. Sometimes referred to as the "morning star" or the "evening star" , it is by far the brightest "star" in the sky.(18)It is the brightest object in the sky except for the Sun and the Moon. Anyway, what I want to talk about is what Venus looks like from ground level. Venus is sometimes regarded as Earth’s sister planet. Both have few craters indicating very young surfaces. These clouds make it totally impossible to see what the surface is like. How about winds? It might surprise you that they are not that much different than earth’s, in fact, perhaps even slower.
