A research organization did a survey to find out who are the happiest people in Britain. They interviewed over 5,000 people. Here are the results of the survey. At what time in their lives are British people happiest? When are they least happy? What are the probable reasons?

According to the chart, British people between 35 and 44 are the happiest, but the least happy ones are those beyond 65. Maybe this is because the middle age of British people have had a stable job and earned enough money to enjoy a comfortable life, so they’ll have less worry and be happier. However, after 65 , as British people grow old, they’ll be lack of sense of security, because they usually leave from their occupations and have no children around them. What’s more, the weather may also contribute to the gloomy mood of old people.
