    (1) We all know that education is vital for the advancement of the society and a country should spare no effort to develop its education. (2) For example, many primary and middle schools in remote western areas are short of adequate facilities and teachers.
    (4) Several factors account for the hindrance to the rural education. (4) Firstly, resources allotted to the rural education are far from enough — teachers working in the countryside get paid less than their city counterparts. (4) Secondly, under the current examination-oriented education system, many students lose interest in education, especially when a college education doesn’t promise a good job in the present tough job market. (4) Finally, some parents fail to recognize the importance of education and thus are reluctant to pay their children’s schooling.
    (5) To solve the problems existing, joint efforts should be made. Governmental investment into the rural education should be increased and allotted fairly. Teachers’ teaching methods should be improved and people’s education awareness raised. What’s more important is that reform should be carried out so that it can (6) hold students’ interest in receiving education.
