    Praising is an act of making positive statements about a person, an object or idea. There is no doubt that everyone wants to be appreciated and praised by others for what he ( she ) does or what he ( she) says. In our daily life, praise is an effective vehicle to improve our social relationship and make our social environment harmonious.
    Praise is an important component in human life. Firstly, it will increase most people’s self-esteem or confidence if it is given in a suitable amount. Secondly, a proper praise can make one feel good and encourage him to do things better. Finally, delivering stimulating words from the bottom of one’s heart is the best policy not only in making friends but also in our handling with public relationship.
    However, we should give praise at proper time and in appropriate situation. An honest compliment is like sunshine to the human spirit. While praise in improper situation may not only annoy the other one but also bring harm to the friendship. Besides, both over-praising and being over-praised could make people embarrassed.
