W: Did you enjoy your weekend at the Highland Hotel? I’ve heard that it’s an excellent place to stay and has good facilities.
M: I had a wonderful time there. The rooms are not very big, but they are well-furnished. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced.
W: Is there a swimming pool?
M: No. There is a beauty parlor, but I didn’t go there.
W: What’s the service like?
M: Very good. Check-in and check-out only take a few minutes. The waiters are very good. A waiter recommended their baked fish, which tasted wonderful. The hotel is quite full, so I’d suggest making a reservation if you intend to go there. The hotel offers a discount at weekends.
W: It sounds perfect. Did you have any complaints?
M: There was a problem with the Internet access, so I couldn’t check my e-mails, but I didn’t complain about it to the manager.
W: I suppose you were happy to forget about the outside world.
M: Yes, I was. Here’s their business card.
W: Thanks. Is there a bar in the room?
M: No, there isn’t. There is a bar on the ground floor and of course you can buy drinks in the restaurant to go with your meal.
W: One of the things I dislike about hotels is that everyone expects tips.
M: I know. At the Highland Hotel, they have an interesting policy. When you check out, you can put some money in a special box at reception. Each evening, the money in the box is shared equally by the hotel staff.
9. What can we learn about the hotel from the conversation?
10. What can we know about the hotel’s occupancy?
