    As the saying goes, be slow to promise and quick to perform. I think keeping the promise is a pretty precious quality. The reasons why I lay so are as follows.
    At the beginning, a promise should be taken seriously. Once made, it is expected to be fulfilled. If you rush into making a commitment, you might regret doing that soon because failing to follow your promise might result in serious consequences. Thus, you should think twice before making promises. Keeping the promise is a basic requirement for a person to establish himself in society. A person who pays high attention to his promise is respected. On the contrary, a person who often breaks his promise will lose his reputation and be disdained. Besides, you are supposed to perform your promise as soon as possible because the promise you made is an ardent expectation for others. As a result, the sooner you fulfill your promise, the stronger sense of achievement you will acquire.
    Finally, we can draw a conclusion that never make a promise you cannot keep. Once you promise somebody something, you should be quick to perform it.
