    We are often told not to judge people by their appearance. Just as the saying goes, "Fine feathers do not make fine birds. " For a person, abilities are far more important than appearance.
    Firstly, although good looks can help make an impression, it is always abilities that create values that really matter. Secondly, while people’s good looks are natural, abilities have to be gained through self-improvement and years of hard work, which speak more of people’s true colors. Last but not least, abilities grow over time while good looks only fade. Eventually, it is abilities that help people succeed, so it is safe to say that abilities will always bring more to life than good looks.
    Therefore, though sometimes beautiful people seem to gain more advantages in some competitions like job interviews and sometimes have more opportunities than others, it is always abilities that count in the long run.
