    What is the most significant invention in modern times? The answer varies from person to person. Mobile phone, laptop, or even iWatch. The list could go on endlessly. However, the above mentioned inventions have one thing in common—their access to the Internet. Thus, it is the Internet that is of major importance.
    The Internet links individuals to groups. Before this millennium of the Internet, people were stuck to the very limited geographical space, both physically and spiritually. Now this situation has totally changed. People can join any interesting groups they want and enrich their social life.
    The Internet broadens people’s horizons. Thanks to the major advances of the network, knowledge is accumulated by multiplying. In this case, modern people enjoy more sources of information, thus leading a quality life.
    The Internet shapes the global village. As the Internet is available almost everywhere, people from different cultural backgrounds can have more convenient communication. Therefore, the distance between different cultures and different countries shortens amazingly.
    In conclusion, I am fully convinced that the Internet is the most significant invention in modern times.
