    As far as I am concerned, compliments are essential to our life for the following three reasons. Firstly, compliments from others build our confidence and inspire our potentials. Here is a story to illustrate this point. There was a child who was often scorned by others for he was slow in study. But his mother never stopped giving him compliments. Little by little, he built up confidence, made much progress and finally entered a famous university. Secondly, compliments in our daily life bring us harmony and happiness. Receiving compliments makes us more confident and become friendly to the givers. What’s more, the significance of compliments has also been proved by psychological studies, which show that compliments to the soul is like water to the body.
    Good compliments can help us to win people’s hearts, promote friendships, and improve our life. So be generous to give your heartfelt compliments to the people around you!
