    It is generally accepted that college students should participate in social practice, for the reason that many college students only concentrate on textbook learning and separate themselves from social reality. For my part, this view is deep and profound. And the reaons are as follows.
    Firstly students can keep in contact with the real world outside the campus in social practice. Besides, students can apply what they have learned to practice, thus they can improve their practical skills. Moreover, students’ sense of social responsibility can be improved through social practice. They will eventually become psychologically mature.
    All the mentioned above indicate that it is necessary for college students to participate in social practice. But one point We have to pay attention to is that sometimes social practice may occupy too much of students’ learning time. To sum up, college students should take part in social practice as long as they can balance the relationship between social practice and study.
