Plastic surgeons say they are worried about the number of young people who want cosmetic procedures. The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons claims younger patients can be easily emotionally hurt and therefore often have psychological issues.

(4)It also says its surgeons carried out 50, 122 medical operation in 2013, a 17% increase on 2012. The newly-elected president of the association Michael Cadier claims they are seeing more young people who want cosmetic procedures.
    Cadier believes that young people are usually immature and easily influenced, but on the other hand, cosmetic surgery may have a life-long impact on people’s lives. The cosmetic surgery industry was worth ￡720 million in 2005, ￡2. 3 billion in 2010 and it’s estimated that it will rise to ￡3.6 billion by 2015.
