    Health care has long been a major concern to the government and the public. When it comes to medical charges, some people think free health care can greatly improve their quality of life. Others argue that covering the medical costs will impose a heavy burden on the government. As far as I’m concerned, people have the right to enjoy free health care.
    Many remarkable reasons contribute to my view. For one thing, citizens have fulfilled their obligations to pay taxes. In the meantime, they should be entitled to free public services like health care. For another, there are still a great number of people who live under the poverty line but need urgent medical care. Therefore, free medical policy can extend the coverage of medical care to more people and reduce the number of people who risk financial ruin because of medical costs.
    In summary, each individual should have access to free medical care, which is the basic social welfare. And a greater role for the government to play in health care should be advocated.
