There is a park near the lake in my neighbourhood. It takes me about 15 minutes to walk there. Many citizens like to spend their weekends in the park.

People can walk or cycle in the park. As it is near a lake, there are people punting on the lake as well.

Sure, I like going there all the time. Because there are many trees in the park, it stands as a natural barrier to all the pollution and noise in the city. It is very comfortable to sit on one of the benches in the park and spend a whole afternoon there.

I think parks are very important in cities. Because people stay in their home, office or buses for a very long time during the week, they would love to spend their spare time somewhere near to the nature. Besides, parks also make the city more beautiful.
