    In the first stage, cold water stored in a container on the ground is pumped down through an injection well, which is 4.5 kilometers in length, to reach the geothermal zone. Here comes the second stage: the pumped water is heated as it flows through hot rocks, and subsequently pumped up, in the next phrase, by a production well to a condenser.
    The other parts of the process are above ground. In the condensation stage, the heated water produces steam, which runs a turbine. It is the machine which can power a generator to create electricity, the end product of the whole procedure, and the power generated is to be transferred to the grid in the final stage.
    Overall, a geothermal power plant operates by using water as a medium to convert geothermal energy into electricity, and the whole process involves five steps in total.
