   In the first part of your paper, you should present the losses caused by road accidents and in the second part you should suggest some ways to reduce road accidents with appropriate details. In the last part you should bring what you have written to a natural conclusion with a summary.

   In recent years along with the rapid development of economy and transportation, there are more and more various vehicles running on the roads and highways, which makes transportation faster and more convenient.  But at the same time a serious problem also arises: the number of road accidents has been on the rise in big cities. Whenever they happen, the people involved are either injured or killed. They cause great losses both to the country and to the victims’ families. Some victims become disabled and have to suffer from the tragedy all their lives. Therefore, it is urgent that we do something to reduce traffic accidents and make our roads safe.
   There are several ways I think to cut down the accident rate. In the first place, the government should take effective measures to improve road conditions. For example, more funds ought to be invested in building new highways and many of the old narrow streets in cities widened or reconstructed. In the meanwhile, more staff are needed to take care of the highways and roads and keep them safe and smooth. Secondly, local authorities should educate people in every possible way to comply with traffic regulations. For example, they could hand out some pamphlets on traffic safety to drivers and pedestrians. They also could hold some specific lectures to educate people to take traffic regulations seriously and apply them to their daily life consciously. Finally, pedestrians should be very careful whenever crossing busy streets, for any carelessness in this aspect might endanger or even take away their life. They must not play joke with their own lives.
In my opinion; the above mentioned ways are essential to avoid traffic accidents. There is no doubt that the road will be safer to all of us if everyone does his part.
解析    近些年来随着经济的快速发展和公共交通事业的发展，交通工具也不断增多。随之上升的是道路事故的数目。交通安全已成为一个公众关注的焦点话题，学生也是容易受到道路事故侵害的群体之一，团此这个话题对提高学生的道路安全意识有重要的意义，他们对此也能发表自己的见解。
   在第—段中，为了强调道路安全的重要性，应说明道路事故的数目及其造成的危害及巨大损失，从而很自然地引出采取措施的必要性。在第二段中应提出自己的解决办法，除了注意陈述的条理性外，还要注意办法的多样性。最后一段应再次重申自己的观点，提出忠告：要使道路变得更安全，就必须尽职尽责。要讨论从各级管理部门到交通行为主体(司机及个人)为减少道路事故所应采取的相应措施和必须承担的责任及义务，对每种解决办法都可以举例说明并进行详细的阐述。
