答案                     Are Decisions Made Quickly Always Wrong?
[1] A famous proverb says: "Haste makes waste", [2] which means one makes less real progress if he does something hurriedly. In our traditional culture, we are always reminded to think twice before a decision is made. However, nowadays, the pace of life is becoming faster and faster, and everyday, we have to deal with so many problems and make so many decisions that we don’t have enough time to think about them carefully. Confronted with such a contradiction, some people argue that [3] there is no need pondering upon too many details and possibilities before we make a decision. Instead, we should sometimes make quick decisions since such decisions are not necessarily wrong. For my part, I cannot agree with them more and there are several reasons to support my point of view.
First and foremost, [4] while carefully thinking before making up our mind can be important, there are many decisions that are needed to be made impulsively and spontaneously. [5] Imagining that I am home alone one morning, contemplating what to do with my day. There are a number of things I should get done during the day: I have to clean my apartment as well as doing some grocery shopping. A friend calls, inviting me to see an art exhibition that sounds very interesting. This situation does not require a carefully-thought decision. I can just put off my trifles for later time in the day, or even until the next day. The decision was made very quickly, and in my opinion, was definitely not wrong.
Moreover, too much contemplation always leads to hesitation and indecisiveness and will eventually cause us to lose many opportunities. [6] A case in point can be seen at the workplace. I am working at a busy real estate office. I have a number of responsibilities that I have to contend with during the day. [7] If I took the time to think carefully over each decision I made during the day, my company would lose many important deals. Therefore, in some situations, I must take immediate action in order to seize every opportunity and to get my job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
[8] In short, while some decisions do require very careful thinking, others can be made quickly and still be correct. If I had to consider carefully all the decisions I have to make in a day, I would never get anything accomplished.
