   一夜，黄鼬潜入鸡舍咬住一只鸡就逃，偏偏让老头给逮住了。狡猾的黄鼬苦苦哀求，说它只偷了一只，又是初犯。老头说：“这鸡是人民的财产，就是动一根鸡毛，也是犯罪。你偷了一只鸡，现在我就剥你一张皮!”说着就要动手。
   黄鼬大叫：“且慢!就算我偷了一只鸡，该剥我一张皮。那么你呢?你利用管理鸡场的权力天天偷鸡，后面粪坑里的鸡毛都塞满了!你自己算算，该剥多少张皮?!”
   第二天，老头因打死了偷鸡贼——黄鼬而受到了上级表扬，鸡场的鸡却仍在一天天地少下去。

   One night the weasel sneaked into the chicken coop and seized one chicken. He was just about to run away when he was caught by the old man. The cunning weasel piteously entreated, saying that he had stolen only one chicken and it was for the first time. The old man replied, "The chicken belongs to the people. Even if you steal only one feather, you have already committed a crime. Now you have stolen one chicken. I will skin you? Saying this, he began to take action.
   The weasel cried out, "Hold! I have stolen one chicken, and you say I should be skinned. Then, what about you? You steal chickens every day, making use of your power on the farm. Now the pit in the backyard is full of chicken feathers. Please count how many layers of skin people should peel from you? ! ”
   The next day, the old man was praised by the director because of killing a thief--the weasel. The number of chickens continues to decline, however.
