Mental Health in a High School
The pie chart shows the mental well-being of the students in a senior high school. As can be seen, 75% of the students surveyed are psychologically healthy, while 25% of them suffer from psychological problems.
Although the majority of the students are psychologically healthy, the survey results still raise our concern about students’ psychological problems. To address this issue, the school could adopt two measures. First, psychological counseling could be offered to students when they are in need. Psychological teachers or voluntary university students majoring in psychology could set up office hours, dedicated to the counseling service. Second, the school could organize regular physical and entertaining activities to ease the burdens of the students. For instance, monthly outdoor activities, such as hiking, football matches, and camping, could help to effectively reduce students’ stress and relieve their tension.
In conclusion, with proper measures in place, the school is able to prevent and address students’ psychological problems.
