答案     Concerning the function of university education, many people think it is to help people get better career opportunities and higher incomes. Nevertheless, others hold that the function of university education goes far beyond that.
    I agree more with the latter view. First of all, university education shapes students’ characters in a positive way. It is in universities that students start experience what it feels like being an adult, and that they start making important decisions independently and taking serious responsibilities for themselves. Moreover, university life enhances students’ socializing ability as students on campus have many chances to communicate and cooperate with other students from the same major or a different major.
    Admittedly, university education is very crucial for students to pursue a good career. However, we should not just focus on the fact that university education helps us to get better jobs; instead, we should understand that it is a once-in-a-life-time chance to obtain precious experience of many kinds.
