    As is depicted in the picture, a man holds a pile of books and tells his colleague with enthusiasm that he has found an innovative approach to teaching. Behind them, the room is stacked with computers. The cartoon informs us of the phenomenon that many traditional teaching approaches have almost been displaced by technological ones. However, I believe that traditional teaching approach will not disappear in the technological era.
    Firstly, traditional teaching methods including writing on blackboard and reading handouts are considered as the most basic and fundamental ways to instruct in class. It would be wrong to state that these approaches have no effect in the technological era. Actually, a prepared PowerPoint can never be as vivid as hand-writing on blackboard. Second, traditional approaches are more flexible and adoptable in classrooms without modern technological equipment. In case of computers crash, teachers have to depend on traditional approaches which are always available.
    In conclusion, I do believe that traditional teaching approach has a role to play in the technological era as it serves as a more direct and flexible way to teaching.
