    The above picture vividly reflects a very typical and realistic situation of Chinese students in learning. Nowadays, students focus too much attention on the learning of English while other courses such as Chinese and Mathematics are somewhat neglected.
    As far as I’m concerned, this situation should be avoided for the following reasons. Firstly , as students, we should acquire comprehensive knowledge. Too much focus on English would certainly hinder our overall development. Secondly , as Chinese is our mother tongue, we should never learn it just for the sake of getting a higher score in the examination. Last but not least, different subjects have different functions. Mathematics helps us cultivate a rational way of thinking; Chinese is our native language; and English can make us eloquent in international communication.
    All in all , we should keep a balance among different subjects. Only in this way can we get all-round development.
