Interlocutor:
Now, in this part of the test, I’m going to give each of you a choice of 3 topics. I’d like you to choose one of the topics and give a short presentation on it for about a minute. You will have about a minute to prepare for this and you can make notes if you wish while you pre-pare. After you have finished your talk, your partner will ask you a question.
All right? Here are your topics.
[Interlocutor hands each candidate a different topic card, and some paper and a pencil for notes.]
Interlocutor:
Choose one of the topics to talk about. You can make notes.
[1 minute’s preparation time. Both candidates prepare their talks at the same time, separately]
Interlocutor:
All right now. Candidate B, which topic have you chosen?

Some people hold the opinion that men are superior to women in many ways. I think men and women are equal. And women are certainly as talented as men if they are given equal opportunities. Laws should be made and the public opinion should be changed to ensure they are equal in all aspects of life. And it is their right as well as their duty to work. A company that judge one’s competence by the difference of sex should be critisized.
Interlocuor:
Thank you. Now, Candidate A, please ask Candidate B your question about his/her talk.

How to change people’s opinion that women are inferior?
Interlocutor:
Thank you. All right. Now, Candidate A, which topic have you chosen?

We can’t deny the charm of modern technology it brings to people. It’s hard to keep away from the mobile phones. If you go to a mall, you will hear the constant ringing of them. Like it or not, it is around you offering convenience and making you fashionable. Mobile phones have many advantages. You only need to dial the numbers and the other person will receive your message. You can also walk as freely as you can when you make a call. We cannot imagine what our lives might be without mobile phones.
