Woman: Mr. Wilson, I guess you would like to get down to business this morning. How would you like to proceed with the negotiation?
Man: We are at your disposal, Miss Thomas.
Woman: Let’s draw up an agenda for our discussion then.
Man: In my opinion, one of the items for our agenda would be the supply of spare parts to China for Toyota cars in the second half of this year. Our current contract is just about to expire and we will need to discuss a new one.
Woman: We are ready to hear your proposals.
Man: We would also like to discuss the possibility of establishing a long-term contract between our two corporations.
Woman: So long as it’s in the interests of both sides, it’s worth talking about. Is there anything else you’d like to achieve on this phone call?
Man: Yes, your government now has a policy of opening up to the outside world. We would like to discuss investments in China and I appreciate your advice.
Woman: I’m always pleased to try my best to promote our cooperation. Would it be wonderful if we could build a joint venture?
Man: That would be great.
