     As the economy developing faster nowadays than ever before, more and more new phenomena emerge in the modem society, such as job-hopping. To analyze such a problem, one should see both the positive and negative side of it.
     First of all, let’s consider the reasons why job-hopping becomes a popular phenomenon. For the employees today, all they want is a better life and a better place to exert their talents and eventually realize their dreams. So if they don’t feel like their current jobs or they don’t think it’s the right thing they want to do, they would like to change jobs once the opportunity comes. This is one case. Another is that people hop for better salaries or better conditions. This is of importance because one has to eat and wear.
     As to the effects of job-hopping, it should be seen from two sides. One is from the employees’ eyes. When stand by the employees’ side, to change for a better job is good for a person’s self-develop-ment. The effect is positive. However from the employer’s point of view, it may be a loss to a company negatively, in the aspects of both economy and human resources.
     So no matter what the reasons and effects are, in a competitive society all the employers and employees need to improve their own qualities. For individuals, they may learn the new ideas and knowledge immediately and become more and more professional and competitive. And for companies who want to bring in the best employees, they need to refine their economic achievements and the personnel management systems so that they can provide higher salaries and more comfortable working surroundings to retain excellent employees. In a word, job-hopping may promote the development of economy in some sense.
