Polls open in the next few hours in Indonesia for its first ever direct presidential election.  More than 150,000,000 people have registered to cast their vote for one of the five candidates. Being incumbent, Megawati Sukarnopurtri is facing a strong challenge, particularly from two retired generals.  Ms.  Sukarnopurtri came to power three years ago, promising reform, but correspondents say many Indonesians feel her government has failed to deliver.
