    With the arrival of the knowledge economy age, the email, as a new way of communication, has come into our life. Nowadays, sending and receiving letters through the Internet has become popular, both in the business world and daily life. People, in most cases, prefer to stay in the office or at home, sending and receiving messages, rather than go to the post office.
    The reason that the email gets so popular at such a rapid pace is that it brings great convenience to our life. First, the email allows us to write and receive letters cheaply and easily. People need not to take out a pen and paper to write a letter; instead, they write on the screen. And if they make a mistake in their writing, they do not have to rewrite the letter again, and what they have to do is to delete the mistake. Besides, it makes sending and receiving letters instantly, safely and accurately. It avoids the missing, or the delayed or the wrong delivery. Last, it can save a lot of time. People do not need to wait a long time to get what they want. For example, a job hunter can get a job by simply clicking the ads online and sending his resume through an email without bothering to get recommendation from his friends, bosses, or wasting time at an employment exchange.
    With so many conveniences of the email, people are still working to enlarge its usages. It is hoped that the message could be sent with the sound in the near future, so that the poor eyesight people could also make good use of it.
