    For this task, you will write an essay in response to a question that asks you to state, explain, and support your opinion on an issue. You will have 30 minutes to plan, write, and revise your essay.

    People have a choice of their living place, for example, some like to live in the country, and others prefer to live in a big city.
    What is your choice—to live in the country or in a big city?

    Many people appreciate the convenience of the city and I agree with them. Firstly, cars, buses and subways in the city can take you wherever you want to go. Secondly, a great number of restaurants provide you with delicious and timesaving food. Thirdly, for leisure time entertainment, people have a good choice of going to a cinema, a theatre, watching sports games and visiting museums and so on. Finally, the fact that famous universities and modern factories are concentrated in big cities means that people have better education and more employment opportunities. However, fumes of cars and industrial wastes pollute the atmosphere. Moreover, overpopulation makes accommodation so difficult that the cost of living is very high.
    Even though there is a lack of modern housing facilities and advanced effective transport, the countryside is more attractive for its rural scenery. Here you will find less pollution and fewer crowded streets or traffic problems. Nothing could be compared with the pleasant songs of birds, the fragrance of flowers and the beautiful sight of the rising sun. Just imagine the good lifestyle and the carefree feelings there: walking on a wild path, eating fresh vegetables and fruits and being close to nature all keep you healthy.
    Everyone can make a judgment in a particular way and have his own choice accordingly. I spent my childhood in a little and quiet village and that was really a very wonderful experience. So in my own opinion, to live in the countryside is my dream, but perhaps in real life I have to study and work in a modern city. However, if I have to choose one place to live in, I would like to live in a small town, which combines the advantages of both the country and the city.
