We are living in what we call the second great change in the state of
man. The first is the change from pre-civilized to civilized societies. The
first five hundred thousand years or so of man’s existence on the earth were
relatively eventful. 【M1】______

The evidence of the artifacts, therefore, is conclusive. Whatever chang- 【M5】______

plantation of crops in fields, gave man a secure surplus of food from the 【M9】______
food producer. In a hunting and fishing economy it seems to take the food
producer all his time to produce enough food for himself and his family. The
moment we have agriculture, with its superior production of this form of 【M10】______

than he and his family can eat. [br] 【M1】
选项
答案
eventful — uneventful
解析
从文章的意思上来看,人类历史的头五十万年是非常“平静”的,人们“悠悠地”度过每一天。因此这里应将eventful改为uneventful。注意识别语义颠倒的错误。
