W: Have you ever been to China?
M: Only once. I went to see an old friend who lives in Beijing. I found it very interesting and so different from England.
W: I was told a lot of people rode bicycles to work.
M: Yes. To tell you the truth, I was thinking of following suit when I came back to England.
W: Riding a bicycle keeps people healthy, doesn’t it?
M: It’ s certainly better exercise than sitting in a car or on a bus.
W: Are there a lot of cars and buses in Beijing?
M: Yes.
W: What impression did you have of the traffic there?
M: Maybe the traffic in Beijing is OK now, but last year I found it was always busy during the rush hours when people were coming and going to and from work. It nearly drove me crazy while sitting in a car not moving for a long time.
